We continue to monitor the local housing market, focused on our core area of the CM9 postcode.  This month we compare March 2018 with March 2019 - here are the results.

Sales Agreed


March 2018 - 55   -   March 2019 - 62 (up 12.5%)

New instructions


March 2018 - 115   -  March 2019 126 (up 9.5%)

Price reductions


March 2018 66   - March 2019 61 (down 7.5%)

 

Whilst looking at these figures for March, it is also a good time to look at how the Maldon and CM9 housing market is performing year to date, compared to 2018.

Sales Agreed


March 2018 - 144  - March 2019 172 (up 19.5%)

New Instructions


March 2018 - 339  - March 2019 357 (up 5.5%)

Price reductions


March 2018 - 128 - March 2019 197 (up 54%)

 

Looking at the year to date figures it is certainly very encouraging to see that sales are up nearly 20% compared to 2018.  With price reductions up 54% the theme continues that price is playing a large part in whether sales are being agreed.
